  The food and the wait staff are very good!! I tried take out and did not like it. I went there and love it!! The taco salad is my fav!!

  Not much different in appearance or menu from you family owned franchise type Mexican restaurant, El Potrillo still has some unique offerings.  
  
  Located in Lyons KS this eatery boasts many seats and ample parking.  Located directly across from Wendy's a few blocks from the town center it is easy to find.
  
  Chips and salsa are provided as soon as you are seated and tastes exactly like my local favorite, Playa Azul.  Offering a veggie menu and kids menu there are also lunch specials galore.
  
  I chose the Arrozo Con Pollo entree and will definitely order the same if I ever return.  Grilled chicken with broccoli, cauliflower, onion, zucchini and carrot over a bed of Mexican rice was just what I needed and then some.
  
  A quiet dining experience with a few small TVs this place is worth the stop especially being one of the very few non chain restaurants in This small town.

  This place has pretty good Mexican food. You get a good value for your money. It's nothing ground-breaking, but I'd recommend it.

  First time here today and I was very happy with my meal--the fish tacos. Of course, I could have stopped at the chips and salsa, but too late! I already ordered. Also of note, the restaurant is attentively kept and clean. Not that I was expecting anything less, it just seems that they take pride in the place.
